Future Hope
In 2021, 1,227 youth aged out of the Texas foster care system. Of those, nearly 20% experienced immediate homelessness, over 50% were unemployed by age 24, and approximately 25% faced incarceration within two years
Future Hope is a supported independent living program designed to serve young men ages 18–21 as they exit foster care and begin their journey toward independent adulthood. Operated by Addy's Hope, the program provides:
Fully furnished studio apartments to promote autonomy and stability
Life skills training focused on financial literacy, household management, and wellness
Mentorship and relationship-building support to combat isolation
Connection to educational resources, employment opportunities, and community providers
